Real Madrid Mallorca prediction 2025-05-14

Real Madrid vs Mallorca prediction: SPAIN: LaLiga betting tips on match 2025-05-13 19:30.
[p]Carlo Ancelotti’s hopes of bidding farewell to the Bernabéu by lifting the La Liga title are almost certainly gone after Real Madrid lost a thrilling El Clásico 4-3 to Barcelona on Sunday. Now trailing their fierce rivals by seven points with three matches remaining, all the reigning champions can do is win those games and hope Barcelona collapse.[/p]

[p]It’s an unlikely scenario, but Los Blancos will not give up hope as they take on Mallorca in their penultimate home league game of the campaign, a side they’ve beaten in the last eight H2Hs they’ve hosted. That should give Real confidence of gaining the win they need to keep the title race alive, but they’ll have to guard against the defensive errors that cost them dearly at the weekend, especially as each of their last five home La Liga fixtures were decided by one-goal margins (W4, L1).[/p]

[p]History might not be on their side, but Mallorca will not simply roll over as they still harbour ambitions of playing European football next term after beating an already-relegated Real Valladolid 2-1 on Saturday. That was a timely victory given that they were winless and goalless in their three prior La Liga games (D2, L1), a run which threatened to sink their chances of a coveted top-eight finish.[/p]

[p]Not only do they have a terrible record at the Bernabéu, conceding 13 times across their last four visits (L4), but the Pirates have only won one of their last eight away league fixtures against any opposition (D2, L5). Still, with Madrid unable to select anything like their first-choice defence, that might present an opportunity for Mallorca to secure a rare away H2H win, something they last achieved in May 2009.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Jude Bellingham opened the scoring when Madrid beat Mallorca 3-0 in the Spanish Super Cup earlier this season, with that goal part of an ongoing sequence of six in all competitions to arrive after half-time. Another potential late scorer is Mallorca’s Sergi Darder as each of his last four La Liga goals came after the break, with his side avoiding defeat each time (W2, D2).[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Mallorca’s La Liga fixtures this term have produced a pre-round league-low average of 0.83 first-half goals.[/p]
