Real Madrid Valladolid prediction 2024-08-25

Real Madrid vs Valladolid prediction: SPAIN: LaLiga betting tips on match 2024-08-24 15:00.
[p]It promises to be a long and arduous season for Real Madrid due to the amount of different competitions that they’re in, so much so that manager Carlo Ancelotti has already talked about giving his players holidays during the campaign to ensure they stay fresh. Starting their La Liga defence with a disappointing 1-1 draw against Mallorca was therefore not ideal, especially as a late sending off for Ferland Mendy leaves them needing to plug a hole at left-back.[/p]

[p]Still, it’s now 28 matches without defeat for Los Blancos (W19, D9) as they prepare for a home league match at the Bernabéu in August for the first time since drawing 1-1 with Real Valladolid in 2019. With clean sheets accompanying seven of their last eight home La Liga fixtures (W7, D1), Madrid should be confident of a positive result on this occasion, especially as they’ve won their last four opening home league games of the season. [/p]

[p]Valladolid were one of the sides beaten during that run (L 1-0 in 2020/21) but go into this match in the unusual position of leading their hosts in the standings following their 1-0 win over Espanyol on Monday. Last year’s La Liga 2 runners-up are off to a winning start and having also signed forward Juanmi Latasa from Madrid, it’s been an August to remember for them so far.[/p]

[p]Capping it with a win here seems unlikely, as the White and Violets haven’t beaten Madrid anywhere since November 2008 (D2, L13) and last won an away H2H in May 2000 (D3, L11). Further justifying their status as heavy outsiders for this one, Valladolid haven’t won their first away league game of the season since back in 2019/20 (D2, L2).[/p]

[p]Players to watch: After registering Madrid’s first league goal of the season for the second campaign in a row, Rodrygo is making a habit of scoring quickly as each of his last four goals for club and country arrived before the 20th minute. Valladolid’s match-winner against Espanyol, Raúl Moro, could also be a threat early as two of his last three goals arrived before the 25th minute.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Five of the last six H2Hs produced a goalless first half.[/p]
