Real Sociedad Getafe prediction 2025-01-26

Real Sociedad vs Getafe prediction: SPAIN: LaLiga betting tips on match 2025-01-25 15:15.
[p]Real Sociedad are looking to put a week to forget behind them and avoid losing a third successive match here as they host Getafe. Those two defeats, one in La Liga at Valencia and then in UEFA Europa League action at Lazio, put an end to a solid run of just one loss in ten games across all competitions (W8, D1). [/p]

[p]La Real remain within striking distance of the La Liga top-six ahead of this round, and Imanol Alguacil’s men should feel confident of getting back to winning ways here based on their strong recent record against Getafe, avoiding defeat in their last four league H2Hs (W2, D2). Another positive result here would stretch that run to five, something Sociedad have never achieved in this competition against the Azulones.[/p]

[p]Although that makes the hosts favourites, Getafe are enjoying a resurgence of late, going unbeaten in their last four matches across all competitions (W2, D2). Only two of those results came in the league, but one was a standout home draw against Barcelona (1-1), helping them maintain a one-point cushion to the relegation zone ahead of the weekend. [/p]

[p]If Getafe want to extend that gap further then finding more belief on the road is essential, with their 2-1 win at Las Palmas in their last such fixture the perfect blueprint. Yet, that was their first road win in the league in 11 attempts (D2, L8), while they have not won back-to-back such fixtures since February 2020. [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Goals have been hard to come by for Sociedad’s Ander Barrenetxea this season, with just one in La Liga so far, but he did net against Getafe last season and also got on the scoresheet in midweek. Another who loves this fixture is Getafe’s Borja Mayoral, scoring at least one goal against Sociedad with each of the three teams he has played for in La Liga. [/p]

[p]Hot streak: After winning five of his first six La Liga games against Sociedad in La Liga (L1), Getafe boss José Bordalás has won none of his last seven against them (D4, L3).[/p]
