RFS Anderlecht prediction 2024-11-07

RFS vs Anderlecht prediction: EUROPE: Europa League – League phase betting tips on match 2024-11-06 20:00.
[p]With the Latvian Higher League title wrapped up, RFS can focus all their efforts into getting their first win of the UEFA Europa League campaign against Anderlecht. They have just a point to their name from three games so far (D1, L2), but they can perhaps find some solace in the fact that sole point came in their only main-draw home game this season, a 2-2 draw against Galatasaray. [/p]

[p]RFS actually remain unbeaten in UEL home action this term when including qualifiers (W2, D1), and have lost only twice in domestic league action all season, highlighting their relative strength on home soil. Building on that against Belgian opposition will be tough given they’ve never won against a side from that nation (D1, L1), but nine wins from their last 11 competitive home games suggests they have what it takes to secure a landmark win. [/p]

[p]Anderlecht are seasoned campaigners in Europe though and are one of three sides with a 100% winning record after three rounds. They’ll make a bit of history of their own here as this is a first-ever H2H against Latvian opposition, which is somewhat incredible considering this will be their 446th game overall in European competition![/p]

[p]They’ll be confident of marking the occasion with a victory too considering they’re on a five-match winning run in European action. Extending that run to six games for the first time since 2011/12 won’t be easy, certainly not on the road, where Anderlecht have displayed some hit-and-miss form of late, posting a perfectly split record across their last six away games in all competitions (W2, D2, L2). [/p]

[p]Players to watch: RFS’ Jānis Ikaunieks could make another fast start as he’s scored before half-time in three of their last four home games. He’ll have his work cut out to outshine Anderlecht’s Anders Dreyer, who has been involved in five goals in his last six starts in the UEL main draw.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: The away side on the day has scored 2+ goals in seven of RFS’ last nine games. [/p]
