Rotherham Millwall prediction 2024-04-01

Rotherham vs Millwall prediction: ENGLAND: Championship betting tips on match 2024-03-31 14:00.
[p]Results elsewhere on Good Friday delayed the inevitable for Rotherham, whose relegation from the Championship could be confirmed here with anything but a win. To add insult to injury, the Millers – who could yet break their own record for the division’s lowest points tally (24) – have lost four of their last five league games held on Easter Monday (D1) and are winless in their last nine league games held on April Fools’ Day (D3, L6) too![/p]

[p]It has been a dismal campaign for Rotherham, who have picked up just one point from their last ten games (D1, L9). All three of their league wins this term have come at home, but that’s about the only positive omen on offer heading into Monday’s clash with Millwall, with Leam Richardson’s side conceding the most goals of any team in the division (80) and scoring the fewest (30). [/p]

[p]Neil Harris’ Lions still aren’t officially safe where relegation is concerned, beginning this round just five points above the drop zone, but they’re in a much healthier position thanks to just one defeat in six since his return to the club (W3, D2). A tighter defence has been largely behind their success, conceding 2+ goals just once in that run having done so five times in the seven league games prior to Harris’ return![/p]

[p]Millwall will more than fancy their chances of extending that positive run on Monday against Rotherham, who they’re unbeaten against in six H2Hs (W4, D2) – a run which includes a 3-0 win in the reverse fixture. The only seemingly negative omen hanging over this trip to South Yorkshire is the fact that the Lions have won just one of their four trips to the AESSEAL New York Stadium to date (W1, D1, L2).[/p]

[p]Key battle: Rotherham’s Sebastian Revan has been booked in each of his last three home games, all three coming in the second half. He’ll be marshalling Zian Flemming here, who has seen four of his seven league goals for Millwall this season come away from home, and he has netted in two of his three previous appearances against the Millers.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Millwall lost against Hull this time last year, but they haven’t suffered consecutive Easter Monday defeats since 1989/90.[/p]
