Salzburg (Aut) Dyn. Kyiv (Ukr) prediction 2024-08-27

Salzburg (Aut) vs Dyn. Kyiv (Ukr) prediction: EUROPE: Champions League – Qualification betting tips on match 2024-08-26 19:00.
[p]Only twice before have Salzburg made it through a play-off round into the league/group stage of the UEFA Champions League (UCL), but they appear well on their way to making that tally three having secured a 2-0 win in the first-leg of this tie against Dynamo Kyiv in Lublin last week. That victory means new Salzburg boss Pep Lijnders remains unbeaten since his arrival in the summer, winning six out of seven competitive games across all competitions (D1).[/p]

[p]With a 100% record (W3) in the infancy of the new Austrian Bundesliga season, Die Roten Bullen saw their scheduled league match against Hartberg postponed over the weekend to give them the best chance of progressing into Europeā€™s premier competition. The omens look good for Lijndersā€™ side to do just that, as theyā€™re unbeaten in five of their last seven UCL qualifying ties on home soil (W5, D2), scoring 2+ goals in six of those seven.[/p]

[p]Opponents Dynamo Kyiv have been knocked out of a European competition at this stage in each of the last two seasons, losing ā€˜to nilā€™ in the away leg in both of those play-off round ties. The omens donā€™t get much better either, given that the Ukrainian outfit havenā€™t made it through the qualification rounds into the league/group stage of the UCL since the 2020/21 campaign.Ā [/p]

[p]If Oleksandr Shovkovskyiā€™s side need some inspiration, they can take it from the fact that they had won five of their six competitive games this season prior to last weekā€™s first-leg defeat (D1). Theyā€™d also scored 2+ goals in five of those six matches, keeping two clean sheets – both of which came in the away legs of their two previous qualification rounds, so they have proved to be resilient on the road.Ā [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Moussa Yeo has averaged a goal involvement every 51 minutes heā€™s played across all competitions so far this season for Salzburg (G3, A2). Veteran Andriy Yarmolenko has scored two goals in UCL qualifying already this term for Dynamo Kyiv, and has ten career goals in the competition now, which have all come in the first half of games![/p]

[p]Hot streak: Salzburg havenā€™t kept a clean sheet in eight successive competitive home games, conceding exactly once in five of those.Ā [/p]
