Sassuolo Frosinone prediction 2024-03-09

Sassuolo vs Frosinone prediction: ITALY: Serie A betting tips on match 2024-03-08 14:00.
[p]If ever there was a relegation ‘six-pointer’ for Sassuolo, the visit of fellow strugglers Frosinone is probably it, with the Neroverdi three points adrift of safety and at growing risk of being cut adrift. Seven defeats from their last eight Serie A games (D1) probably goes some way to explaining why Sassuolo find themselves in the position they do, and with just one win from their last ten home league games (D3, L6), things aren’t guaranteed to get better here. [/p]

[p]Strangely, the last eight games in that run saw Sassuolo net in each, which would pin the blame for their demise mostly on a defence which has leaked 55 goals this season – the league’s second highest tally behind Frosinose! Lapses in concentration as the game grows old haven’t helped their cause, with 29% of those goals (16) being conceded after the 75th minute.[/p]

[p]Late drama may be on the cards here then, as Frosinone themselves have conceded 16 goals in that timeframe, although their 1-1 draw with Lecce at the weekend did at least see them break a four-match streak of conceding after the 75th minute. That should boost belief they’ve at least turned a corner where succumbing to late goals is concerned, but actually keeping a clean sheet remains unlikely for a side with one away league shut out all season. [/p]

[p]That’s certainly hampered their ability to perform on the road, with their three Serie A away points collected this season (D3, L10) the fewest in the league. They’re certainly prone to a hefty loss or two away from home too, with each of those ten defeats seeing them concede at least twice, although a 3-2 reverse at Juventus in their last such game, in which they led for part, shows they can never be fully discounted. [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Sassuolo may look to Andrea Pinamonti for early inspiration given four of his last five goals have been team openers which arrived before the 30th minute, while he also netted a brace in the reverse fixture which they lost 4-2. Luca Mazzitelli also scored twice that day, with all five of his goals this season arriving after the hour mark.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Ahead of the round, Sassuolo’s home league games have averaged a league-high 1.62 goals per game in the first-half. [/p]
