Sassuolo Udinese prediction 2024-04-01

Sassuolo vs Udinese prediction: ITALY: Serie A betting tips on match 2024-03-31 13:00.
[p]Sassuolo’s position in Serie A is looking pretty desperate as they return from the international break. Although the Neroverdi sit only two points from safety in the relegation zone as they head into the final nine games of the campaign, a run of eight defeats from their last ten outings (W1, D1) means they are very much at risk of sinking without a trace after 11 years in the top-flight.[/p]

[p]A change of manager at the start of March appeared to be the final throw of the dice, but even Davide Ballardini’s arrival has failed to halt the downward momentum as he has lost two of his three games at the helm (W1). That sole victory did at least come on home soil, a 1-0 success against Frosinone, and if Sassuolo are to stay up, their form at the Mapei Stadium will be vital given that 15 of their 23 points this season have been collected there (W4, D3, L7).[/p]

[p]History suggests they are unlikely to chalk up another win against opponents Udinese though, as the visitors are unbeaten in the last 11 H2Hs (W5, D6). Travelling supporters will be hoping their team can rekindle that kind of form, as they make the journey south having tasted success just twice in 11 league outings in 2024 (D4, L5).[/p]

[p]As such, Gabriele Cioffi’s side are far from out of the woods in their own battle against relegation. They have spent the entirety of the 21st century in Serie A, but a 2-0 defeat at home to Torino before the international break means they head into this round only three points clear of the drop zone. Form on the road at least offers some inspiration that they can steer further clear of the drop here, as their only two wins this calendar year came at Juventus and Lazio.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Eight of Andrea Pinamonti’s last 11 goals for Sassuolo have come before half-time. Battling him for glory will be Udinese captain Roberto Pereyra, who has never lost in 11 H2Hs (W6, D5) and was on target when these two teams drew 2-2 in December.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Ahead of this round, Sassuolo are one of only four teams in Serie A yet to have a 0-0 draw in the league this season.[/p]
