Sevilla Getafe prediction 2024-09-14

Sevilla vs Getafe prediction: SPAIN: LaLiga betting tips on match 2024-09-13 16:30.
[p]It has been a dreadful start to the new season for Sevilla, who are yet to win in La Liga (D2, L2) under new coach García Pimenta, whilst they also saw Loïc Badé and Albert Sambi Lokonga pick up injuries on international duty. That’s left them short of midfield numbers as they tackle what is becoming a customary slow start, with this the third consecutive league campaign in which they gained no more than three points after four games.[/p]

[p]Things are looking even more shaky at Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium, where their current run of four consecutive home league defeats is their worst such sequence since also losing four in a row between February and March 2002. The visit of Getafe might not be all that welcome after they suffered a 3-0 defeat here in last term’s corresponding fixture, a result which ended Sevilla’s own winning streak of four home H2Hs.[/p]

[p]Getafe may need to travel with caution as they’re also winless this La Liga campaign having drawn all three of their matches, two of them without scoring. That echoes the early part of last season, which featured five straight league draws in September and October, and they’ve displayed few signs of scoring potential after managing just a single shot on target across their last two fixtures.[/p]

[p]Scoring only once across their last three league away games (D1, L2) hardly inspires confidence and has been a significant contributor to the visitors winning only one of their last 11 La Liga road fixtures (D5, L5). Nevertheless, last season’s triumph here evokes happy memories, as that remains their joint-highest away league winning margin during both of Pepe Bordelás’ two spells in charge.[/p]

[p]Key battle: Seeking his first strike of the season, Sevilla forward Isaac Romero netted his last three goals of 2023/24 at home, two of them inside the opening 25 minutes. On a run of two consecutive clean sheets, ex-Sevilla goalkeeper David Soria has lost seven of his last nine La Liga H2Hs against his former employers (W2) – only one of those nine outings saw both teams score.[/p]

[p]Hot streak: The last 13 H2Hs in all competitions were won by the team that scored first (Sevilla: W9, L4).[/p]
