Sevilla vs Valencia prediction: SPAIN: LaLiga betting tips on match 2025-01-10 20:00.
[p]After enjoying a spell of strong form across late September and much of October, it has since proved difficult for Sevilla to win consistently in La Liga. A 4-1 defeat to Segunda División outfit Almería in the Copa del Rey in their last outing compounded Sevilla’s recent wayward results, as that made it three defeats across their last four competitive outings (W1), conceding exactly four goals in each of those losses. [/p]
[p]As each of those defeats came on their travels, a return to Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán for this clash with Valencia could provide a much needed confidence boost, as too could the fact that Sevilla have now won five of their last seven home league matches (D1, L1). Extending that run could prove tricky though against a side who they’ve beaten just once across the last five H2Hs (D3, L1). [/p]
[p]A glance at visiting Valencia’s current plight will have the home faithful feeling confident that their side can remedy that recent H2H form, especially as Los Ches begin this matchday 19th in the table. In their last La Liga fixture, they were cruelly undone by a 96th-minute Jude Bellingham winner as they were downed 2-1 by Real Madrid, making it six league games without success (D2, L4). [/p]
[p]Valencia’s away form casts further doubt over their ability to muster a win here, having failed to win any of their last 12 league road trips (D4, L8) – their worst winless run on their travels since September. Much of that misery has been caused by their inability to grind out results when ahead, losing 19 points from winning positions, with only Serie A’s Venezia (20) dropping more across Europe’s traditional top-five leagues this campaign at the start of the weekend.[/p]
[p]Players to watch: Dodi Lukébakio struck his eighth La Liga goal of the season in his last league appearance, five of which have served as his side’s opening goal. Valencia defender Mouctar Diakhaby could be their unlikely hero here, as Sevilla are the only side he’s netted multiple goals against during his La Liga career. [/p]
[p]Hot streak: Valencia failed to score more than once in each of their nine away La Liga matches this season. [/p]
