SK Rapid Djurgarden prediction 2025-04-17

SK Rapid vs Djurgarden prediction: EUROPE: Conference League – Play Offs betting tips on match 2025-04-16 19:00.
[p]Rapid Vienna took control of this UEFA Conference League quarter-final tie against Djurgården with a 1-0 away win in last week’s first leg. Robert Klauß’s side will now be confident of progressing on Thursday night, having lost just three of their last 21 home games in UEFA competitions (W13, D5), only failing to score five times during that sequence.[/p]

[p]The Austrian Bundesliga outfit have not reached the semi-finals of any UEFA competition since doing so in the Cup Winners’ Cup back in 1996, but now boast a record of five H2Hs without defeat against Swedish teams after last week’s first-leg victory (W4, D1). Also yet to concede a goal on home soil against any club from the Scandinavian nation, Rapid are odds-on favourites to set up a last-four tie against either Chelsea or Legia Warsaw.[/p]

[p]DjurgĂĄrden are currently in their first UEFA quarter-final since 1956, when they competed in the European Cup. They have reached the last eight this season despite domestic games being at a premium in between Allsvenskan campaigns, though a lack of match fitness may have caught up with them now, with the Swedes having won just three of their nine encounters since the start of 2025 (D1, L5).[/p]

[p]Heading into Thursday’s second leg only trailing by a single goal, Jani Honkavaara’s men will still have hope of reaching the semi-finals of a UEFA competition for the first time in the club’s history. They have lost just two of their seven away games in the Conference League this term (W3, D2), but their battle here appears to be an uphill one, with Djurgården having never beaten an Austrian side (D1, L2).[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Dion Beljo has eight goal involvements (G5, A3) in nine Conference League appearances this season, with five of those coming in the first half. Four of Marcus Danielson’s five bookings in the competition this campaign have come in added time at the end of either half.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Djurgården’s last six games in all competitions have all seen one of the teams involved fail to score (W2, L4), as has also been the case in each of Rapid’s last five matches (W3, L2).[/p]
