Slovan Bratislava Pyunik Yerevan prediction 2022-10-27

Slovan Bratislava vs Pyunik Yerevan prediction: EUROPE: Europa Conference League – Group Stage betting tips on match 2022-10-26 19:00.
Nothing is decided in UEFA Europa Conference League (UECL) Group H with all four sides separated by just three points after four matchdays so a win here for either Slovan Bratislava or Pyunik Yerevan would be hugely important. Slovan might also be thinking about revenge following September’s 2-0 H2H defeat in Armenia, their only group-stage loss this term (W1, D2).

The Slovak side should be confident as they’re unbeaten at home since losing a Europa League qualifier against Olympiacos on penalties in August (W3, D3), although both UECL group games here this term were drawn, the latter against Basel (3-3) after they’d been leading 3-1. They might take more encouragement from the last time they hosted Pyunik, when they ran out 5-0 winners back in 2017.

But Pyunik, one point better off than Slovan, have made progress since then, almost reaching the Europa League group stages in August and are now battling to reach the knockouts of a UEFA competition for the first time (W2, L2). Two straight league victories by a one-goal margin should also lift them as they head to Slovakia.

Their away form has let them down in Europe though, as both UECL group-stage defeats came on the road while Friday’s 1-0 league win over Shirak snapped a run of six consecutive away losses! In fact, their only victory across six European away games this season (90 mins: D2, L3) came against minnows Dudelange, so a win here would be a real landmark for them.

Players to watch: Vladimír Weiss has scored Slovan’s first goal in each of their last two home games while Pyunik might want to tee up Yusuf Otubanjo, as they’ve won six of his seven goalscoring outings this term (L1) with two of his last three goals coming inside the first 15 minutes.

Hot streak: The half-time result was replicated at full-time in each of Slovan’s UECL group games this term.
