Southampton Fulham prediction 2025-04-26

Southampton vs Fulham prediction: ENGLAND: Premier League betting tips on match 2025-04-25 14:00.
[p]Having already suffered the earliest relegation in Premier League history, Southampton are fighting to avoid the ignominy of posting the lowest points tally in Premier League history. A 93rd-minute equaliser rescued a 1-1 draw with West Ham last week and moved the Saints onto 11 points – matching Derby’s all-time lowest haul set in 2007/08.[/p]

[p]A visit from Fulham could be just what Southampton need to move past that mark, as defeat in the last H2H here in May 2023 was the only reversal they’ve suffered at home in this fixture in the last 22 clashes (W15, D6). Form at St Mary’s has long since deserted them though, as they could become just the fifth different side to lose 14+ home Premier League matches in a single season here. [/p]

[p]Fulham looked well placed to challenge for some form of European qualification finish this campaign, but they’ve experienced a slump at exactly the wrong time. After impressively beating leaders Liverpool 3-2 in early April, the Cottagers have lost back-to-back matches by a single-goal margin, most recently falling to stoppage-time heartbreak against bitter rivals Chelsea (L 2-1). [/p]

[p]Manager Marco Silva will be desperate for a quick response here, but with his side also falling to three successive one-goal losses on the road, this fixture could prove much tougher than it appears on paper. The reverse fixture result brings that home too as Fulham were held to a goalless draw in December, making them one of just two sides to fail to score against Southampton in the Premier League this term.[/p]

[p]Key battle: Lesley Ugochukwu scored his first Southampton goal at the weekend, with both of his senior club goals coming after the 80th minute. He’ll need to keep an eye on Fulham’s Alex Iwobi, who scored last time out to take his tally to a career-high nine Premier League goals this term. [/p]

[p]Hot stat: Fourteen of Fulham’s last 16 Premier League games have seen at least one side score 2+ goals.[/p]
