St. Pauli Freiburg prediction 2025-02-15

St. Pauli vs Freiburg prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2025-02-14 14:30.
[p]After a pair of Bundesliga wins without conceding at the end of January eased their relegation woes, St. Pauli have undone some of their good work after failing to hold onto a lead in a 1-1 draw with Augsburg before losing 2-0 to Leipzig last time out. Luckily for manager Alexander Blessin, his team still holds a comfortable seven-point lead over those in the bottom-three on account of those teams failing to take advantage of St. Pauli dropping points.[/p]

[p]The Neighbourhood Kickers, as they are known, shouldn’t rest on their laurels either way, as that seven-point advantage could be rapidly eroded should they continue to own the league’s worst attack with just 18 goals scored so far. Three of those came in the reverse fixture against upcoming opponents Freiburg, which St. Pauli won 3-0 to strengthen their record of losing just one of the nine H2Hs in the Bundesliga between these two sides (W5, D3). [/p]

[p]Freiburg will be confident that revenge is on the cards since they’re fresh off a pair of wins, albeit both victories were 1-0 successes over relegation zone occupants Bochum and Heidenheim respectively. Those two victories were preceded by three straight losses, so Freiburg will be pleased to have found some form and moved back into the European spots in sixth place. [/p]

[p]The last time the Breisgau Brazilians put together a hat trick of Bundesliga wins was in December 2023 under former manager Christian Streich – a run which also began with two 1-0 victories. Hitting the road here could make Julian Schuster’s troops feel slightly nervous despite their recent away win over bottom-club Bochum, since they conceded a mammoth 21 goals in their five road trips before that (D1, L4). [/p]

[p]Players to watch: St. Pauli’s Elias Saad is working his way back from injury, and he’ll be hoping for a start here since his last goalscoring outing saw him net a brace and provide an assist in the reverse fixture. He’ll face stiff competition from Vincenzo Grifo, whose goal against Heidenheim last time means he has scored the match winner in three of his last four goalscoring outings for Freiburg. [/p]

[p]Hot stat: St. Pauli have seen a league-low seven Bundesliga games produce over 2.5 goals this season. [/p]
