St. Pauli RB Leipzig prediction 2024-09-22

St. Pauli vs RB Leipzig prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2024-09-21 17:30.
[p]The excitement of being in the Bundesliga for the first time since 2010/11 hasn’t been matched by results for St. Pauli, who have lost all three of their league games this season. None of their eight previous top-flight campaigns saw them start with a hat-trick of defeats, but a glimmer of encouragement can be taken from their last outing when losing 3-1 to Augsburg, after they netted their first league goal of 2024/25. [/p]

[p]Still, the Bundesliga is proving tough for the Neighbourhood Kickers as it did when they were last relegated, as they now boast a record of losing 14 of their last 15 top-flight matches across the two campaigns (D1). Their more longstanding fans at Millerntor-Stadion might see the arrival of RB Leipzig as a chance for St. Pauli to kickstart their season, since they have won the last three H2Hs, all by a 1-0 scoreline. [/p]

[p]The visitors arrive off the back of tasting defeat themselves in their last outing, albeit losing on the road to Atlético Madrid in the UEFA Champions League after conceding in the 90th minute is nothing to be ashamed of. That will only compound their frustrations though from their most recent Bundesliga match, where they were held to a 0-0 draw by Union Berlin following a missed Loïs Openda penalty. [/p]

[p]Manager Marco Rose won’t be too upset when he looks at the bigger picture, since that was his team’s 14th game without defeat in the Bundesliga (W9, D5), the longest ongoing unbeaten streak in the league and one short of their own all-time club league record of 15 without a loss. The Red Bulls will be feeling confident of equalling that record considering the bookies favour them to do so, which is usually a telling sign since they have lost just four of the last 31 German top-flight encounters that they’ve started as the betting favourites (W20, D7).[/p]

[p]Players to watch: St. Pauli have Carlo Boukhalfa to thank for scoring their only league goal of the campaign so far, but they may have to be patient for another here as his last four league goals have all come after half-time in normal time. Looking to find the net before him will be RB Leipzig’s Xavi Simons, who has made it 1-0 in each of his last seven Bundesliga goalscoring outings. [/p]

[p]Hot streak: RB Leipzig’s last 18 away games have seen both teams score. [/p]
