Stoke Huddersfield prediction 2024-04-01

Stoke vs Huddersfield prediction: ENGLAND: Championship betting tips on match 2024-03-31 14:00.
[p]Stoke breathed a huge sigh of relief as they moved five points above the drop zone with a surprise 2-0 win over play-off hopefuls Hull on Good Friday. They now kick off April with an Easter Monday clash against relegation rivals Huddersfield in a game the Potters must be wary of as they have followed up each of their previous four league wins with defeats. [/p]

[p]A similar pattern has been seen in Stoke’s home games, where they’ve alternated between wins and losses across their last five league outings here (W2, L3) with all three defeats coming without reply. Boss Steven Schumacher will hope that trend continues for at least one more game here after losing comprehensively in a 3-0 humbling by Norwich in their latest home league outing.[/p]

[p]It wasn’t a very good Friday for Huddersfield, who lost 3-1 against Coventry to extend their winless run to five games (D2, L3), leaving them looking rather foolish as they head into this 1st of April clash in the bottom-three. The Terriers have conceded seven times across their last two defeats, so shoring up the defence will be a top priority for new boss André Breitenreiter over the Easter weekend. [/p]

[p]Breitenreiter’s only win at the helm came in his first match, an away success as outsiders at Watford. That remains Huddersfield’s only travelling victory across their last 11 competitive trips (D5, L5), whilst all but one of the defeats in that run saw them concede at least twice. This may not be the venue to remedy that run either, as the Terriers have lost five of the last six away H2Hs (W1), each of which saw them concede multiple goals! [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Stoke’s Bae Jun-ho assisted their stoppage time goal on Good Friday, and both of the goals he’s scored for the club to date have been team openers. As for Huddersfield, Rhys Healey announced his return from a groin injury by scoring a consolation goal last time out, meaning each of his last seven club strikes have come on or beyond the 75th minute. [/p]

[p]Hot streak: Huddersfield are unbeaten in each of their last five games played on Easter Monday (W3, D2). [/p]
