Strasbourg Nice prediction 2024-04-28

Strasbourg vs Nice prediction: FRANCE: Ligue 1 betting tips on match 2024-04-27 13:00.
[p]Strasbourg’s recent profitable run which saw them go four games unbeaten (W3, D1) came to an end last time out when they went down 1-0 to UEFA Champions League-chasing Lille. Perhaps that was a sign that Patrick Vieira’s side have taken their foot off the gas as that aforementioned positive streak all but rendered them safe for another top-flight season, and their status as a Ligue 1 outfit will officially be renewed this weekend should they beat Nice and Le Havre fail to beat table-topping PSG.[/p]

[p]The Stade de la Meinau has been front and centre in Strasbourg’s revival, with the Blue and Whites winning their last two home games. The last time they won more home matches in succession was back in November 2019 when they were victorious in four successive matches – coincidentally the third victory in that stretch also came against visitors Nice. [/p]

[p]Francesco Farioli’s travelling troops will be keen on spoiling the party by becoming the first Nice squad to register a league double over their hosts since 2007/08, following their 2-0 win in the reverse fixture in September. Doing so would see them beat Strasbourg on the road for just the third time in 23 attempts (D7, L13), while simultaneously keeping their hopes for a top-four finish alive. [/p]

[p]But the Eaglets will need to overcome their current rotten streak on the road which has seen them return just one win in their last ten away league games (D4, L5). And with just two wins from their nine away league matches as the betting favourite (D3, L4), it’s easy to see why confidence might be low in their camp coming into this one. [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Strasbourg’s Kévin Gameiro will be looking to net a fourth career goal against Nice, which could come early since his last three goals have all arrived before half-time. Similarly, Nice’s Terem Moffi will be gunning for a third goal from his last four appearances against Strasbourg, and will be confident of doing so since four of his last five goals have come on the road. [/p]

[p]Hot stat: Nice have seen just ten of their 30 Ligue 1 matches produce more than 2.5 goals this season – a league-low.[/p]
