Stuttgart Bayer Leverkusen prediction 2025-03-16

Stuttgart vs Bayer Leverkusen prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2025-03-15 18:30.
[p]While ten-man Stuttgart showed impressive resilience to come back from a goal down to draw 2-2 with struggling Holstein Kiel last Saturday, there was little to truly celebrate as for the first time this season, they’ve gone four league Bundesliga games without victory (D2, L2). Each of those fixtures saw them drop points from winning positions, but despite those lapses, the Swabians are still in the hunt for European qualification.[/p]

[p]The picture is even bleaker for Sebastian Hoeneß’s side at home, where they’ve lost their last three Bundesliga games, a fate they last suffered back in February 2022. The visit of reigning champions Bayer Leverkusen is unlikely to offer much comfort either as Stuttgart haven’t won a home H2H since a 2-1 triumph back in April 2010 (D5, L7)! [/p]

[p]Leverkusen missed a golden opportunity to close the eight-point gap to leaders Bayern Munich last weekend by succumbing 2-0 to Werder Bremen, while Bayern unexpectedly lost 3-2 to Bochum. More predictably given that they were 3-0 down after the first leg, Die Werkself then exited the UEFA Champions League against Bayern on Tuesday (L 2-0) in what was a third successive loss in all competitions.[/p]

[p]On a much brighter note, Xabi Alonso’s side maintain the Bundesliga’s only unbeaten away league record this term (W7, D5), so they’ll travel justifiably confident of more success against Stuttgart on the back of winning five of their last seven league games on the road (D2). Doing so would also extend their current 29-game unbeaten streak in away league games (W21, D8), four short of the all-time Bundesliga record held by Bayern.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Atakan Karazor has been booked in two of Stuttgart’s last four home league games, taking his seasonal tally to at least eight yellow cards for a fourth successive campaign. Patrik Schick is Leverkusen’s away day specialist, netting seven times across their last eight Bundesliga away matches, with five of those goals arriving before the 20th minute.[/p]

[p]Hot streak: Leverkusen have had more corners than their opponent in five successive league matches.[/p]
