Stuttgart Hoffenheim prediction 2023-05-27

Stuttgart vs Hoffenheim prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2023-05-26 13:30.
Stuttgart’s 4-1 win over Mainz on Sunday kept their destiny in their own hands as a win on the final day of the Bundesliga season will – barring an enormous victory for Bochum over Leverskusen – guarantee their survival, although a draw would be enough if Bochum and Schalke also fail to win. After losing just one of their last seven league games (W3, D3), they’re the form team among the strugglers but one more big performance is required.

On a three-match unbeaten streak in home league action (W1, D2), Stuttgart fans will be doing their best to roar their side to the points they need to extend their three-season stay in the top-flight. History is on their side as they’re unbeaten in five H2Hs against Hoffenheim here, four of which also came during the second half of the season (W4, D1).

Hoffenheim are safe from automatic relegation and as it would take a 26-goal swing for them to drop into the relegation playoff place should they lose here and Bochum also win, their 4-2 win over Union Berlin has realistically kept their top-flight status intact. “It’s a big weight off our shoulders,” admitted midfielder Grischa Prömel afterwards.

Given their poor recent record at this ground, they’ll likely be relieved that they don’t travel here needing to win as they haven’t managed that since September 2014. Pellegrino Matarazzo’s side have also won just one of their last 11 league away fixtures (D2, L8) so it’s hard to make the case for an upset, especially after winning just 17% of their Bundesliga away games as outsiders this term.

Players to watch: Serhou Guirassy has been Stuttgart’s go-to man of late, scoring in each of their last four Bundesliga fixtures, twice between the 55th and 65th minute. Meanwhile, Andrej Kramarić’s brace against Berlin took him to 100 Bundesliga goals, and Hoffenheim are yet to lose after he’s scored this term (W6, D3).

Hot stat: Stuttgart’s home league games haven’t produced a goal five minutes either side of half-time (41’-50’) this term .
