Stuttgart PSG prediction 2025-01-29

Stuttgart vs PSG prediction: EUROPE: Champions League – League phase betting tips on match 2025-01-28 20:00.
[p]The final matchday of the inaugural UEFA Champions League (UCL) league phase throws up an intriguing clash between two teams currently clinging onto a top-24 spot. Stuttgart embody that perfectly as they sit 24th and two points inside the knockout round play-off spots knowing only a win here will guarantee them a position in the knockout stages, but they have at least found some form in the competition, winning their last two UCL games.[/p]

[p]You’d have to go back to 2003 for the last time they won three successive games in Europe’s premier club competition, and their warm-up for their history attempt wasn’t great as they were beaten 2-0 by Mainz at the weekend. Returning home doesn’t promise to offset their disappointment either, as their 5-1 matchday six win against Young Boys was their only victory from their last ten European home games (D6, L3).[/p]

[p]PSG are tied with Stuttgart on ten points but sit a couple of places higher up the table owing to a superior goal difference. Their position could’ve been a lot worse had it not been for a stunning 4-2 comeback win against Manchester City on matchday seven, where the Parisians battled from 2-0 down in the 55th minute to incredibly win 4-2 and give themselves an outside shot at even being a seeded side in the knockout round play-offs.[/p]

[p]The French side failed to garner the momentum at the weekend with a 1-1 home draw against Reims, but they remain handsomely clear at their domestic summit. That means they can put full focus on securing the win that will 100% secure their safe passage here, and encouragingly on that front, PSG have won their final group/league phase game in five of their last six UCL campaigns (D1).[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Enzo Millot has been directly involved in five UCL goals for Stuttgart this season (G2, A3), the most by any player for the club in a single campaign, while PSG’s Ousmane Dembélé may be out to make a late impact having scored all four of his away goals this term after half-time. [/p]

[p]Hot stat: PSG have lost eight of their 13 UCL away games against German opposition (W3, D2).[/p]
