Switzerland Serbia prediction 2024-11-15

Switzerland vs Serbia prediction: EUROPE: UEFA Nations League – League A betting tips on match 2024-11-14 19:45.
[p]It’s hardly been fun for Switzerland in this latest edition of the UEFA Nations League as they enter match day five still winless in the competition this time around (D1, L3). With two matches left to play, that means that a finish in the relegation play-off place is the best-case scenario for the hosts, whilst anything less than a victory in this latest outing against Serbia would see them demoted from Group A4.[/p]

[p]Despite the fact that Murat Yaskin’s side have failed to create too much in terms of shooting chances throughout this cycle, netting just a lowly three goals in total, it’s been Switzerland’s poor defensive form that has hindered them during this edition the most. Heading into this week’s action, the home side have conceded ten goals in total – a tally that only the likes of Israel (13) and Azerbaijan (11) have worse than – letting in 2+ goals in each of their last four internationals in succession (D1, L3). [/p]

[p]One of those instances came against visiting Serbia in a 2-0 reverse defeat last month and as such, the away side will arrive here full of confidence in getting the positive result that they need to remain at this level of the competition for at least another year. That sole H2H success does serve as their only victory on the international stage in seven attempts (D3, L3), so grabbing that much-needed result still hangs in the balance.[/p]

[p]Poor form in front of goal has been Serbia’s biggest letdown since taking part in the 2024 Euros in June, as across those seven aforementioned outings the visitors have struck just three goals in total. They also remain in poor form on the road overall, losing six of their last eight away matches (W2) which will come as an additional worry. [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Switzerland’s Breel Embolo has been in great form for Monaco of late, recording four goal contributions across his last five games (G2, A2) whilst he netted against Serbia at the 2022 World Cup. Aleksandar Mitrović will be looking to bag his 60th goal for Serbia here, with his last coming in his nation’s 2-0 reverse win over the Swiss last month.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Switzerland are one of just two nations to receive multiple red cards (2) in this edition of the Nations League ahead of the round.[/p]
