TNS Panathinaikos prediction 2024-12-12

TNS vs Panathinaikos prediction: EUROPE: Conference League – League phase betting tips on match 2024-12-11 20:00.
[p]So typically dominant in the Welsh Premier League, things haven’t quite been as plain sailing for TNS on the domestic stage of late, losing two of their last three league games to fall off the pace in the title race. Things are going similarly poorly in the UEFA Conference League, where after four rounds (W1, L3) they’ve got work to do if they’re to bridge the gap to the top 24. [/p]

[p]A knockout round play-off place is as good as it’s going to get from TNS’ point of view, but they’ll at least have to win one of their remaining two league phase games to get there. It’s hard to see that coming to fruition, but hosting – albeit at the home of Shrewsbury Town – should at least offer them some hope as their only league phase win came on ‘home’ turf (2-0 v Astana), and they’ve only ever lost one Conference League ‘home’ game (W4, D3), although that was their last such game. [/p]

[p]A household name where Greek football is concerned, you’d be forgiven for expecting Panathinaikos to be faring better than they are doing in the Conference League. The 20-time Greek champions come into matchday five in the 24th and final knockout qualification spot after finally managing their first league phase win in their last European outing against HJK (D1, L2). [/p]

[p]Things are certainly looking up at the moment, with Panathinaikos posting five wins from their last six games in all competitions (D1). That’s ideal form ahead of a first-ever meeting with a side playing in the Welsh Premier League, but as they’ve never won away from home in the Conference League, they’ll have to mark this landmark clash by making a little bit of history. [/p]

[p]Players to watch: TNS will hope Rory Holden can get on the scoresheet as his last six scoring appearances for the club ended in victory. Facundo Pellistri isn’t known for being prolific in front of goal, but his two Panathinaikos strikes both came in this competition. [/p]

[p]Hot stat: Panathinaikos’ last seven wins all came by a one-goal margin.[/p]
