Torino Inter prediction 2023-10-21

Torino vs Inter prediction: ITALY: Serie A betting tips on match 2023-10-20 16:00.
Torino went into the international break off the back of a 2-0 loss to Juventus in the Turin derby, extending their wait for a Serie A (SA) win to more than a month (D2, L2). The concerns largely lie up front as the Granata failed to score in three consecutive top-flight games for the first time since November 2014. Coach Ivan Jurić may have to pull a new trick out of his hat, as his personal record against Inter Milan (W1, D2, L9) features seven scoring blanks for his teams.

The hosts also carry the burden of having not won a league H2H since January 2019, losing seven of the eight SA H2Hs following (D1). That could change if Torino’s unbeaten home league record in this campaign (W1, D3) is further improved, led by their near-impeccable defensive record of three clean sheets.

Inter went into the break two points behind crosstown rivals AC Milan at the top of the table, after dropping points in a 2-2 draw against Bologna despite being 2-0 up inside the first 15 minutes. The Nerazzurri also scored first in their only SA loss of this campaign, leaving coach Simone Inzaghi with something to work on.

Inter are on a run of four consecutive SA away wins with a clean sheet, a sequence that started with a 1-0 win at the Stadio Olimpico di Torino last year. Extending that run with another win ‘to nil’ would equal their previous record of five such top-flight away victories in a row between Sep – Nov 1966, a sequence that should it continue, would see Inter move into top spot on Saturday night.

Players to watch: Duván Zapata scored Torino’s last goal but has just a solitary strike in 12 SA H2Hs, eight of which ended in defeat (W1, D3). At the other end of the spectrum, Lautaro Martínez has ten league goals this campaign keeping them unbeaten when he scores (W4, D1). Another strike here could be a good omen as Inter have won all four league H2Hs in which he scored.

Hot streak: Inter received the first card of the game in their last five away league matches.
