Torino Juventus prediction 2025-01-11

Torino vs Juventus prediction: ITALY: Serie A betting tips on match 2025-01-10 17:00.
[p]Regardless of league form, the Derby della Mole hasn’t been kind to Torino in the last 30 years, as they have beaten Juventus only once in the last 39 competitive meetings (D9, L29). The prospects of improving on that dreadful record here appear slim after registering a third consecutive home scoring blank against Parma in their last match, which also saw them fail to win a fifth straight game on their own patch (D2, L3).[/p]

[p]To compound matters, the hosts have won only once there since the start of September (D3, L5), while their six home league goals scored is the second-worst total in Serie A this season after Empoli, with Paolo Vanoli’s men drawing a scoring blank in four of their last five matches at Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino![/p]

[p]With their Supercoppa Italiana journey in Saudi Arabia finishing abruptly in the semi-finals after they were eliminated by AC Milan (2-1), Juventus consequently had a whole week to prepare for this encounter. They start the weekend in fifth place, despite being the only side yet to lose a Serie A match this term (W7, D11), with their 2-2 draw against Fiorentina in their last league game the fifth time they’ve shared the points in the last six rounds![/p]

[p]The sole victory in that run came on their last trip when they beat Monza 2-1 – a result which forms part of a three-match sequence which has seen the Bianconeri concede at least once on each occasion. They should feel confident of stopping that unwanted streak here though, as the Old Lady have kept a clean sheet in six of the last seven H2Hs on their travels (W5, D2)![/p]

[p]Players to watch: Torino will hope that Nikola Vlašić can find the net, as they have won seven of nine such matches (L2), with his four goals since the start of last season all arriving after the break. Kenan Yıldız got Juventus’ only goal in Saudi Arabia last week and also rounded off the scoring in November’s H2H (2-0), while six of his last eight goals for the club have come after the hour mark.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: 11 of the last 15 Turin derbies have witnessed less than 2.5 goals scored, including six of the last seven.[/p]
