Tottenham Brighton prediction 2025-05-25

Tottenham vs Brighton prediction: ENGLAND: Premier League betting tips on match 2025-05-24 15:00.
[p]Tottenham’s 17-year wait for silverware finally came to an end in midweek, as Brennan Johnson scored the only goal in a 1-0 win over Manchester United in the UEFA Europa League final. Boss Ange Postecoglou’s defiant statement that he always wins something in his second season has ultimately rung true, and perhaps that success might be enough to earn him a third season in charge.[/p]

[p]Something Postecoglou can’t escape is the reality of their most disastrous top-flight campaign since relegation in the 1970s, with Spurs beginning the final round of fixtures as the lowest-ranked surviving club in the division. Another defeat would make them the first top-flight club to lose 22 times in a 38-game season without being relegated, and standing in their way are a Brighton side who overturned a 2-0 half-time deficit to win 3-2 in the reverse fixture.[/p]

[p]Brighton will be finishing either eighth or ninth depending on results this weekend, so boss Fabian Hürzeler can claim some success in that regard after the club finished 11th under predecessor Roberto De Zerbi in 2023/24. They too are set to head into the summer with their heads high after winning three of their last four league games (D1), including a 3-2 triumph against Liverpool last round. [/p]

[p]They’ll be setting out to win consecutive league games against Tottenham for the first time in their history, and come into this fixture as favourites thanks to a very strong away record against some of the division’s weaker sides. Brighton have won an impressive six of their nine Premier League away games against current bottom-half clubs (D2, L1), including four of the seven that they started as favourites (D2, L1). [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Richarlison is Spurs’ only player to score twice during their six-game winless run in this competition (D1, L5), but he’s blanked in his last six matches against Brighton. Danny Welbeck also struck twice in that six-round period and netted the match winner in the reverse H2H. [/p]

[p]Hot stat: A league-high 70% of Brighton’s matches this Premier League season produced over 2.5 goals.[/p]
