Tottenham Manchester Utd prediction 2025-02-16

Tottenham vs Manchester Utd prediction: ENGLAND: Premier League betting tips on match 2025-02-15 16:30.
[p]Arguably the two biggest underperformers of this Premier League season clash when Tottenham host Manchester United, with home boss Ange Postecoglou potentially facing another must-win scenario in order to keep his job. The Australian finds himself under further pressure after Spurs were dumped out of both the FA Cup and EFL Cup last week, while a seven-match winless run (D2, L5) in Premier League home matches – their worst such streak since 2008 – hardly inspires confidence of a turnaround here.[/p]

[p]Their first game-free midweek since the opening week of 2025 at least allowed time for the injury-ravaged squad to rest and recover, with Spurs chasing just their second set of back-to-back league wins this season after beating Brentford in their last such match. Encouragingly, the only other time they managed it was by beating Brentford and Manchester United in the respective reverse fixtures, while Tottenham have since beaten United again in the EFL Cup (4-3).[/p]

[p]No team has beaten the Red Devils on three separate occasions in the same season since Chelsea in 2012/13, while Tottenham haven’t done it since 1989/90, which was the last time they completed the double over Manchester United. While Ruben Amorim’s job isn’t in the same jeopardy as his opposite number, he’s also in desperate need of results as he tries to save his side’s similarly poor campaign, as defeat here would see Spurs climb above them in the bottom half of the table.[/p]

[p]Only five sides have accumulated fewer Premier League points than United’s 14 under Amorim since he took charge, and with widespread reports indicating there’ll be further staff layoffs at Old Trafford this week, there’s seemingly no end to their struggles in 2025. Perhaps an escape can be found on the road where the Red Devils have won three consecutive matches across all competitions.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Spurs playmaker Dejan Kulusevski could shine here having scored in both of this season’s previous H2Hs. Alejandro Garnacho produced a game-changing cameo from the bench against Leicester in the FA Cup last week (W 2-1), but the winger is without a goal in his last 17 appearances across all competitions![/p]

[p]Hot streak: Manchester United conceded 2+ goals in each of the last four Premier League H2Hs.[/p]
