Toulouse Auxerre prediction 2024-12-01

Toulouse vs Auxerre prediction: FRANCE: Ligue 1 betting tips on match 2024-11-30 16:00.
[p]After three successive wins to nil, Toulouse’s run of wins ended last Friday when they were beaten 3-0 at Ligue 1 leaders Paris Saint-Germain. Despite that loss, manager Carles Martínez Novell should be immensely encouraged by the improvements that his side, who had looked set for a relegation battle, have made to start this round in tenth place. [/p]

[p]MartĂnez Novell will be calling on his men to be more potent at home, where they have scored just six times this Ligue 1 season – a figure only superior to Le Havre. Upcoming opponents Auxerre could present them with a chance to improve on that statistic, as Toulouse are unbeaten in the last four meetings with them at any venue (W3, D1) – a run which includes 5-0 and 6-0 thrashings. [/p]

[p]Despite their unfavourable recent H2H record, Auxerre are one of Ligue 1’s form teams, having taken 13 points from the last 15 on offer. That includes winning their last three games, which puts them one victory away from their longest top-flight winning streak since March 2010. Those results have propelled them to the cusp of the European places, while heading into this weekend, only Nice, Marseille and PSG had scored more Ligue 1 goals this season than their 21.[/p]

[p]At the other end of the pitch, Auxerre have also largely improved over the last few months, keeping three clean sheets in their last seven games (W5, D1, L1) after failing to secure one in their first five matches of 2024/25 (W1, L4). Interestingly, manager Christophe Pélissier’s meetings in the dugout with Toulouse tend to be low-scoring, with five out of six of them having featured fewer than 2.5 total goals. [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Aron Dønnum finally scored his first league goal for Toulouse just before November’s international break at Rennes (2-0) after joining in the summer of 2023, and the Norwegian hasn’t lost any of his last seven scoring appearances for club or country (W5, D2). Meanwhile, Lassine Sinayoko has registered a goal and an assist in two of his last three matches for Auxerre, and has been on the winning side 14 times out of 16 with the senior team when he has found the net (D1, L1). [/p]

[p]Hot streak: None of Auxerre’s last 33 Ligue 1 away games ended 0-0. [/p]
