Toulouse Monaco prediction 2025-03-07

Toulouse vs Monaco prediction: FRANCE: Ligue 1 betting tips on match 2025-03-06 19:45.
[p]After scoring four times on the road in both of their last two matches (W2), Toulouse are now looking for their first home Ligue 1 win in 2025, having last secured a top-flight victory at Stadium de Toulouse back in mid-December (D1, L3). Les Violets’ shaky form on their own patch has also been reflected in recent meetings with upcoming opponents Monaco, as none of the last five H2Hs at home have gone in the hosts’ favour (D2, L3).[/p]

[p]A win here for Carles Martínez Novell’s eighth-placed side will provide a boost for them in their bid to again qualify for Europe, even if three points don’t actually allow them to leapfrog anyone in the table this weekend. A Toulouse clean sheet will ensure though that their defence remains the second best in Ligue 1 this season, behind runaway leaders Paris Saint-Germain.[/p]

[p]That solidity at the back will be tested by a Monaco side who have only been outscored in France’s top flight this term by the division’s top three, but frustratingly for Adi Hütter’s men, they haven’t recorded back-to-back wins in all competitions since late January, with their focus now solely on Ligue 1 following elimination from the UEFA Champions League (UCL) at the hands of Benfica last month. [/p]

[p]If Monaco can build on their strong recent away record at Toulouse and win by at least a four-goal margin, they will snatch back third place – the last automatic UCL qualification spot – from Nice, before the pair lock horns in late March after the international break. Ahead of this game, HĂĽtter will be urging his players to get on the front foot early on, as they’ve scored inside half an hour in just three of their 14 matches in 2025 so far. [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Former Leeds United defender Charlie Cresswell is loving life at Toulouse, having found the net three times since the turn of the year for the club that he joined last summer. He will be keeping a close eye on Breel Embolo, who hasn’t scored in his last ten games, but did find the net in December’s reverse fixture – one of only two appearances this season in which one of his goals has led to Monaco winning (D1, L2). [/p]

[p]Hot stat: Eleven of Toulouse’s last 12 goals have come after half-time. [/p]
