Toulouse vs PSG prediction: FRANCE: Ligue 1 betting tips on match 2025-02-14 20:05.
[p]A resilient Toulouse twice came from behind to earn a 2-2 at Auxerre last weekend, but Carles MartĂnez Novell’s men have now gone five Ligue 1 matches without victory (D3, L2) – their worst such run since a ten-game winless sequence between October and December 2023. An embarrassing 2-0 Coupe de France defeat at home to second-tier side Guingamp earlier this month again proved just how much they’re struggling. [/p]
[p]Those league results have seen Toulouse drop into Ligue 1’s bottom half, and things are likely to get worse before they get better as the formidable PSG come to town. Toulouse have struggled in this matchup of late, winning only one of the last 12 H2Hs (D2, L9), although the fact they’ve scored in each of their last ten Ligue 1 home games at least offers some hope. [/p]
[p]Barring a dramatic collapse in the coming months, runaway leaders PSG will again be crowned Ligue 1 champions in 2024/25, and their UEFA Champions League campaign is shaping up well after a 3-0 win away to Brest in midweek saw them put one foot in the last 16. The Parisians are incredibly unbeaten in all 21 of their Ligue 1 games this season (W16, D5) and by stretching that run here they could become only the fourth side in history to avoid defeat in the first 22 games of a French top-flight campaign.[/p]
[p]All told, they’re actually unbeaten in 23 Ligue 1 games dating back to last season, but it’s worth noting that the last team to beat them in a league outing was Toulouse! That defeat came on home soil though, and on the road PSG have been formidable, going unbeaten across their last 34 away games in Ligue 1 (W26 D8) – only AC Milan in 1991-1993 (38) have ever had a longer run in one of Europe’s traditional top-five leagues.[/p]
[p]Players to watch: Noah Edjouma’s Ligue 1 debut was one to remember as he came off the bench to get Toulouse’s second equaliser at Auxerre last weekend. Ousmane Dembélé could make history here as a goal would see him become the first PSG player ever to score in nine consecutive appearances for the club following his midweek brace against Brest. [/p]
[p]Hot stat: PSG’s last seven Ligue 1 matches saw both teams score. [/p]
