Toulouse vs Reims prediction: FRANCE: Ligue 1 betting tips on match 2024-11-02 14:00.
[p]Heading into the previous round of Ligue 1 matches, Toulouse had just one win from their opening eight matches of the season (D3, L4), with their points haul of just six being their worst output at that stage of a league campaign since 2003/04. The pressure was on then, but Carles MartĂnez’s men rose to the occasion to secure a crucial 3-0 win away to Montpellier.[/p]
[p]The Violets will now look to steer further away from the relegation zone by trying to win back-to-back Ligue 1 games for the first time since March, but having won the joint-fewest top-flight home games since last season (W4, D9, L9), the Stadium Municipal faithful will be biting their nails. The arrival of Reims perhaps offers Toulouse a good chance of redeeming themselves in front of their supporters, considering they’ve lost just three of the 19 H2Hs this century (W11, D5).[/p]
[p]Perhaps Reims manager Luka Elsner might be confident his side can improve on that H2H run since he personally won both his games against Toulouse last season when managing Le Havre. Reims aren’t arriving into the contest with the best form though, as they’ve lost their last two Ligue 1 matches 2-1 against both Auxerre and Brest, despite being favourites in both. [/p]
[p]The Red and Whites have actually failed to keep a clean sheet all season, meaning another poor defensive showing here will see them concede in each of their opening ten games of a top-flight season for only the second time in their history.  That’s not been as expensive as it could have been though, thanks to Reims’ ability to be a threat themselves and they come into the clash having scored in all but two of their last 21 away Ligue 1 matches (W7, D6, L8).[/p]
[p]Players to watch: Toulouse’s Zakaria Aboukhlal had a stunning game against Montpellier, scoring twice and getting an assist, and he’ll be especially confident here having found the net in his two prior home games against Reims. Hoping to outdo him will be Marshall Munetsi, who has scored ten of his last 12 club goals before half-time, including a strike against Toulouse two seasons back. [/p]
[p]Hot stat: There have been goals in both halves in eight of Reims’ nine games this season. [/p]
