Toulouse Strasbourg prediction 2025-01-12

Toulouse vs Strasbourg prediction: FRANCE: Ligue 1 betting tips on match 2025-01-11 16:15.
[p]After a disappointing start to the campaign which had Toulouse worrying about relegation, Carles Martínez Novell’s side have won six of their last eight Ligue 1 matches (L2) to sit within touching distance of the European spots. Now just three points beneath the top six pre-round, Toulouse’s last two league wins have come by one-goal margins, showing their ability to grind out results.[/p]

[p]Part of Toulouse’s turnaround has been a drastic improvement in their home form. Appointed in December 2022, Novell won only four of his first 22 league games at the Stadium Municipal (D9, L9), but has since guided his side to three consecutive home victories, and Le Téfécé now have the opportunity to record four consecutive home wins in Ligue 1 for the first time since October 2016![/p]

[p]Strasbourg will take on the visiting challenge this weekend, and are comparable to their hosts, having also found form in recent weeks to drag themselves away from the relegation places. Now unbeaten in three Ligue 1 games (W2, D1), with wins in the most recent two, Liam Rosenior’s side are five points clear of the bottom three pre-round, and have the chance to record three consecutive top-flight wins for the first time since December 2023.[/p]

[p]The Blue and Whites will head to the Stadium Municipal on Sunday afternoon aiming to extend a run which has seen them lose just once in their last 13 Ligue 1 H2Hs with Toulouse (W8, D4). After a 3-0 win at Le Havre last time out on the road – their first in 12 league games away from home (D3, L8) – they could also win successive Ligue 1 games on their travels for the first time since May 2023.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Toulouse’s Cristian Cásseres has received the joint-most yellow cards in Ligue 1 this season pre-round (7), with the last five of those arriving in the second half. Five of Sebastian Nanasi’s goal involvements in Ligue 1 for Strasbourg this term (G4, A3) have come in the first half.[/p]

[p]Hot streak: Toulouse are the only team yet to score from a corner in Ligue 1 this season, while Strasbourg have scored six goals from corners, the joint-highest tally of anyone in the division pre-round.[/p]
