Trnava Ludogorets prediction 2023-11-30

Trnava vs Ludogorets prediction: EUROPE: Europa Conference League – Group Stage betting tips on match 2023-11-29 20:00.
Having picked up their very first point in the last round, Spartak Trnava’s UEFA Europa Conference League (UECL) journey can no longer go any further than the group stage. In fact, Ludogorets are now the only side that Trnava can finish above, although they would need to win their last two group games, meaning they’d have to muster back-to-back European group stage victories for the first time ever – a huge ask given they haven’t even won one since December 2018!

Trnava’s 4-0 humbling away at Ludogorets in the reverse fixture will perhaps temper expectations here, yet that defeat means they’ve lost all three away games against Bulgarian opposition but won both of their home clashes. Keeping up that unblemished home record against their Bulgarian opponents seems a tall order given Michal Gaơparík's side have fallen to back-to-back European home defeats, one more than they’d posted in ten such games prior (W6, D3, L1).

Much more used to this level of football, Ludogorets still have a great chance to leapfrog one of the top-two here as they seek just a second direct knockout round qualification in their current run of eight consecutive UEFA group stage appearances. A recent run of five straight competitive wins ‘to nil’ serves to boost confidence further, although that run was brutally ended at the hands of Slavia Sofia on Monday.

Despite the positives, the Eagles have struggled to take flight on their continental travels with just one victory across their last 13 such away games (D2, L10). That run includes defeats in all three of their UECL away games, although Ludogorets did manage to get on the scoresheet in all three reversals but are yet to even lead in an away game in this competition.

Players to watch: Michal Ďuriơ netted Trnava’s equaliser in the previous round, which was his fourth scoring club appearance in succession to see him net the opening goal for his team. Trying to outdo him will be Ludogorets and Poland’s Jakub Piotrowski, who netted a brace in the reverse and has scored more goals in this UECL group stage (three) than Trnava have mustered (two).

Hot stat: The 18 goals scored across Ludogorets’ four games (4.5 on average) was a UECL group-stage high heading into this round of games.
