Udinese Cagliari prediction 2024-10-25

Udinese vs Cagliari prediction: ITALY: Serie A betting tips on match 2024-10-24 16:30.
[p]Udinese went close to picking up a point against ten-men AC Milan last time out, but their late equaliser was ruled out by VAR as they slumped to a third defeat from four Serie A matches (W1). In  spite of that disappointment, they should still be confident of returning to winning ways against Cagliari given Udinese are unbeaten this season against teams starting this round 12th or lower in the table (W3, D1).[/p]

[p]Kosta Runjaić’s men have made Stadio Friuli into a fortress this term, winning five of their six home competitive matches (L1), with their only defeat coming against reigning champions Inter (3-2). Starting on solid footing seems to be crucial as Udinese have opened the scoring here in all five victories and scored before the half-time in five of the six outings.[/p]

[p]Cagliari emerged victorious against Torino last weekend, turning around a deficit to win 3-2 and stretch their unbeaten run in all competitions to four matches (W3, D1). Davide Nicloa’s men have steered clear of the bottom three after a disastrous start to the campaign which saw them score just once in their opening five league outings, and now seem to now be well positioned for the relegation fight.[/p]

[p]In fact, Cagliari have now scored seven goals in their last three Serie A matches which is more than in their previous eight such fixtures combined! The visitors have also improved on their travels, which is usually their Achilles’ heel, avoiding defeat in three of the last four such outings (W2, D1, L1) and could go unbeaten in three away top-flight matches in the same season for the first time since February 2022.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Jordan Zemura scored and assisted across Udinese’s last two Serie A home matches, whilst he also picked up an assist during the recent international break – two of those three goal involvements came on or beyond the 75th minute. That is also a period when Cagliari’s Nicolas Viola has scored five of his last seven goals, despite opening the scoring before half-time against Torino last weekend. [/p]

[p]Hot stat: Cagliari are yet to score in the opening 15 minutes of either half this Serie A season.[/p]
