Udinese Lecce prediction 2024-10-05

Udinese vs Lecce prediction: ITALY: Serie A betting tips on match 2024-10-04 13:00.
[p]After a bright start saw Udinese go undefeated across their opening four Serie A matches (W3, D1), things have unravelled more recently with two successive league defeats in which they conceded three goals in each contest. Admittedly, both of those losses came against Roma and reigning champions Inter Milan, so there’ll be no panic just yet for manager Kosta Runjaić who’ll expect to see his side bounce back against Lecce. [/p]

[p]Sandwiched in between those league losses was a routine 3-1 win over Serie B outfit Salernitana in the Coppa Italia, adding to a solid record of four wins from five competitive games in front of their home fans this season. While form hints that strong record should continue, Udinese can’t take the visitors for granted given their measly one win from the previous five H2Hs (D2, L2).[/p]

[p]Alarm bells might be ringing in the Lecce camp with their return of five points (W1, D2, L3) already six fewer than they had on the board at the same stage of last season – one in which they finished just three points clear of the relegation zone. It’s pretty easy to see where their troubles lie right now, with their three goals scored ranking as the joint-lowest of any side across Europe’s traditional big-five leagues heading into this gameweek. [/p]

[p]You’d have to go back to the start of May for the last time Lecce found the net in an away league clash, but that poor attacking form masks what’s been respectable showings defensively from Luca Gotti’s men. They lost only twice from their last six league road trips – both coming in Milan against the city’s two biggest clubs – and conceded only one goal across their other four away games in the streak (W1, D3). [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Lorenzo Lucca is looking for a third goal in as many competitive matches for Udinese, with the forward’s previous two both being his side’s second of the game. While he’s managed just the two league goals so far, Lecce’s Nikola Krstović goes into the round having amassed more shots on target than any other Serie A player (ten). [/p]

[p]Hot stat: Just one of the past six H2H matches have produced more than two total match goals. [/p]
