Ukraine Czech Republic prediction 2024-10-14

Ukraine vs Czech Republic prediction: EUROPE: UEFA Nations League – League B betting tips on match 2024-10-13 18:45.
[p]After a dreadful start to the 2024/25 edition of the UEFA Nations League (UNL) saw them suffer back-to-back defeats, Ukraine registered their first win of the campaign as they beat Georgia 1-0 on Friday night in Poznań and now sit just three points away from the top of their group. They now move south to Wrocław, where Serhiy Rebrov’s men will try to avenge a 3-2 defeat to the Czech Republic a month ago.[/p]

[p]The Ukrainians have put hard work into starting faster, having now scored before the break in consecutive matches after failing to do so in seven previous competitive outings! The last such goal brought them their first UNL victory in four attempts (D1, L2) meaning they are seeking their first back-to-back successes in this competition since 2022. Back then, both victories came without conceding and with both previous home H2Hs against the Czechs also seeing Ukraine keep a clean sheet (W1, D1), they’ll be hopeful of putting themselves right in the promotion mix with a victory here.[/p]

[p]Consecutive victories including a 2-0 win over Albania in Prague on Friday night saw the Czech Republic enter this round tied with Georgia on six points. Despite a disastrous start to this UNL campaign, which saw them suffer a 4-1 defeat, the Czechs are now serious contenders for the top spot and a return to League A.[/p]

[p]To achieve that, they will have to improve on their performances on the road as the Czechs are winless in six competitive matches played on a foreign soil (D2, L4). So a short trip to Poland could help, but they need to focus on improving a nervy backline with the side having lost each of their last five UNL trips, whilst trailing ‘to-nil’ at half-time in all.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Mykhailo Mudryk scored for Ukraine against Georgia and four of his last six competitive goals came before the break. With his winning double against Albania, Tomáš Chorý has now contributed to six goals across his last six competitive outings (G5, A1), scoring the second goal of the game four times.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: The Czech Republic have won more than four corner kicks just once across their last eight competitive matches.[/p]
