Union Berlin B. Monchengladbach prediction 2025-02-15

Union Berlin vs B. Monchengladbach prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2025-02-14 14:30.
[p]After registering their biggest league win since August 2022, Union Berlin will be desperate to build some momentum as they attempt to pull away from the Bundesliga relegation zone once and for all. The Iron Ones dished out a 4-0 thrashing to Hoffenheim last weekend, although that result served as just their second win from their last 15 games in all competitions (D4, L9).[/p]

[p]Both of those victories have come under new head coach Steffen Baumgart, who took the reins at the turn of the year and has since moved his new employers ten points clear of the bottom three. His next task is to give supporters something to get excited about at Stadion An der Alten Försterei, as only two sides have scored fewer Bundesliga home goals than Union’s ten this season, though their nine goals conceded in those ten outings (W4, D4, L2) is the league’s joint-fewest.[/p]

[p]Continuing that record certainly won’t be easy against Borussia Mönchengladbach, who have scored in ten of their last 11 fixtures. The most recent of those was a 1-1 draw with Eintracht Frankfurt, meaning that the Foals have now accumulated 31 points this season – their highest total after 21 league games since 2020/21 – so it’s no wonder supporters are dreaming of ending a four-year absence from European football. [/p]

[p]Gerardo Seoane’s men head into this weekend just two points adrift of the top six, although their position in the table has not been helped by a run of only two wins in their last nine away league outings (D2, L5). The fact that their opponents have scored at least twice in five of those games would suggest that defensive lapses have been their main undoing.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Union Berlin will be hoping that Rani Khedira can extend his run of four successive wins in home meetings with Gladbach, with each match featuring 3+ goals. That record will be severely tested by visiting forward Tim Kleindienst, who has scored in each of his last four games. He attracts attention from the officials too, having conceded a league-high 52 fouls this season going into the weekend. [/p]

[p]Hot stat: Union Berlin are one of only two sides yet to score in both halves of a Bundesliga home match this term. [/p]
