Union Berlin Bayern Munich prediction 2025-03-15

Union Berlin vs Bayern Munich prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2025-03-14 14:30.
[p]Ending a three-game losing run with a hard-fought 2-1 away win to Eintracht Frankfurt, Union Berlin are now seeking consecutive Bundesliga victories for the first time since October as they continue to fight against the drop. Entering this round six points above the bottom three, Union look well placed to stage their escape, although last weekend was a rarity which saw each of the bottom eight sides avoid defeat, so consistency will be key in the run-in. [/p]

[p]Returning home certainly isn’t guaranteed to stimulate further progress for Union, who have won just one of their previous nine games here (D3, L5). Perhaps the fact that Union remain unbeaten in all but one of their home league games against the top six will inspire confidence (W1, D3), although they have never defeated runaway league leaders Bayern Munich here in their short H2H history (D2, L3). [/p]

[p]Contributing to the unlikely success of the struggling sides last weekend, Bayern suffered a demoralising 3-2 defeat to Bochum despite leading 2-0. They bounced back in midweek European action by eliminating Bayer Leverkusen 5-0 over two legs, so for now, Vincent Kompany can put his full focus on the Meisterschale charge ahead of the impending international break. [/p]

[p]Playing away from home has had little impact on Bayern’s ruthlessness in league action this term, as the Bavarians have won all but one of their away league games against sides starting this round outside of the top four (W8, D1). Often merciless against struggling sides such as Union, three of the four aforementioned victories against the lowest placed teams which Bayern have visited ended with stunning five-goal margins of victory. [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Formerly of Bayern’s youth setup, Union’s Jeong Woo-yeong scored their winner last weekend, although each of his five club goals prior to that all came in home action. Following his brace last weekend, Bayern’s marauding full-back RaphaΓ«l Guerreiro has scored all four of his goals this season before half-time, while each of his last six strikes served to put his side 1-0 or 2-0 to the good. [/p]

[p]Hot stat: Union boss Steffen Baumgart has faced no side more often than Bayern without winning a single game (D1, L7). [/p]
