Valencia Mallorca prediction 2024-03-30

Valencia vs Mallorca prediction: SPAIN: LaLiga betting tips on match 2024-03-29 17:30.
[p]Valencia’s dreams of qualifying for their first European campaign since 2019/20 suffered a minor setback before the international break following defeat at Villarreal (1-0), which perhaps came as no surprise as they have now lost eight La Liga away matches this season – among the most in the division. They can ill afford to drop further behind the top six, although their game in hand still leaves them in a decent position to challenge. [/p]

[p]On a positive note, Los Ches are enjoying one of La Liga’s longest active undefeated streaks at home (W6, D4) and have won six of their nine league matches at Mestalla against clubs starting this round beneath them in the table (D2, L1). That ought to reinforce their belief that they can keep in touch with the European places, despite losing to upcoming opponents Mallorca 2-1 in last term’s corresponding fixture. [/p]

[p]The two teams were in eerily similar positions to the current standings when Mallorca last travelled to Valencia, which should inspire the visitors to try and repeat last season’s heroics. Boss Javier Aguirre is reportedly being considered for the Mexico managerial role following their CONCACAF Nations League failure, but for now at least, the 65-year-old must ensure that his current employers, who sit 14th and eight points above the bottom three, remain comfortably clear of the relegation zone.[/p]

[p]Mallorca’s only five La Liga victories since last meeting Valencia (1-1) have all come at home however, and while continuing that lopsided form might secure safety, ending their 11-game winless away league run (D4, L7) is still a priority. Los Piratas have also lost every La Liga road trip against the seven sides above Valencia in the top eight at the start of the round, so halting that streak would be ideal preparation for their next Saturday’s Copa del Rey final. [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Roman Yaremchuk sparked a magnificent Ukrainian comeback in Bosnia and Herzegovina last Thursday by equalising shortly after coming on, while Mallorca’s Vedat Muriqi has scored in two of his last three encounters against Valencia. [/p]

[p]Hot stat: All but one of the last seven La Liga matches involving either of these clubs have produced fewer than 2.5 total goals, as have three of the last four H2Hs.[/p]
