Valladolid Las Palmas prediction 2025-02-28

Valladolid vs Las Palmas prediction: SPAIN: LaLiga betting tips on match 2025-02-27 20:00.
[p]An immediate return to the Segunda División for Real Valladolid appears more and more likely as time passes, with the White and Violets suffering a 7-1 thumping at the hands of Athletic Club last Sunday – their sixth straight La Liga defeat. Now with at least seven points fewer than at the same stage of their last six league campaigns, three of which ended in relegation, the outlook is rather bleak for boss Álvaro Rubio, appointed last week following the sacking of Diego Cocca. [/p]

[p]With an eight-point gap to Las Palmas in 17th, and just 13 games in which to close it, Valladolid may well rely on home form to get them out of trouble. Having accumulated 12 of their paltry 15-point haul this season at Estadio José Zorrilla (W3, D3, L6), they are actually unbeaten on their own patch in that time against sides currently 14th or lower (W2, D1), keeping three clean sheets in the process. [/p]

[p]Much like their beleaguered hosts, Las Palmas enter this encounter on a seven-game league run without a victory (D1, L6), leaving them at risk of dropping into the bottom three with another failure to win here. On a positive note though, the Canary Islanders have four more points than at this stage in their last relegation campaign, while they have earned six out of a possible nine points against sides currently below them this season. [/p]

[p]Playing away should not faze Las Palmas, as despite losing their last three league trips, they have got on the scoresheet in five of their last six matches on the road. Boss Diego Martínez has faced only one side more often than his 11 clashes against Valladolid (W6, D1, L4), a touchline record which includes a 2-1 win against them earlier this season, in what was Rubio’s second game of a caretaker spell in charge of Valladolid. [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Raúl Moro returned from injury by assisting Valladolid’s consolation last weekend and could prove crucial for his side, with three of his four goals this season opening the scoring. Sandro Ramírez has found the net three times across his last two meetings with Valladolid, including a brace in the 2-1 reverse victory.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Valladolid (66) and Las Palmas (74) have received the third and second-most yellow cards in La Liga this season. [/p]
