Venezia vs Como prediction: ITALY: Serie A betting tips on match 2024-12-07 17:00.
[p]Struggling Venezia suffered yet another defeat last weekend, with their 3-0 reversal against Bologna their fourth successive Serie A loss. To make matters worse, three of those four saw them fail to score, and given the fact that they remain rock-bottom with only eight points to their name, it is hardly surprising that this match against Como – also struggling following promotion – looks to to be the last chance for head coach Eusebio Di Francesco to save his job. [/p]
[p]The Lagunari should take inspiration from the fact that they have registered both of their victories this term at home (L4), and have also won the previous two H2Hs there. Despite the importance of this fixture though, it looks unlikely that either side will hold anything back in the early going as there has been at least one goal inside 20 minutes in three of Venezia’s last four home games. [/p]
[p]A 1-1 draw against Monza in their last league match stretched Como’s current winless run to eight games (D3, L5), keeping them in the relegation zone. Cesc Fà bregas’ men haven’t been far away throughout that run however, as only one of their last seven outings have produced more than two total goals scored.[/p]
[p]On the road, Como have lost three of their last four matches (D1), having won just one such game this term (D2, L6). FĂ bregas will be pleased though that his side have at least stopped the habit of conceding first, as their last away game against Genoa was their first this season in which they opened the scoring (FT: 1-1).[/p]
[p]Players to watch: In tough times, Venezia can often count on their leading marksman from last term, Joel Pohjanpalo, who also scored in their last two home victories against Como and has netted three times overall in their two wins as hosts this campaign. Meanwhile, Como have won six of the nine matches in which Lucas Da Cunha has scored (D1, L2), but one of those defeats was when the Frenchman netted his very first goal for the club in this fixture two seasons ago![/p]
[p]Hot stat: Ahead of this weekend, Venezia have lost a league-high five matches this term after drawing at half-time.[/p]
