Werder Bremen Eintracht Frankfurt prediction 2023-11-12

Werder Bremen vs Eintracht Frankfurt prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2023-11-11 16:30.
The penultimate Bundesliga game before the international break sees Werder Bremen attempt to keep up their recent momentum after ending a three-game losing streak by posting back-to-back unbeaten league games (W1, D1). That run culminated with a 2-2 comeback draw against Wolfsburg, a result which saw the River Islanders enter this round with a relatively healthy four-point gap to the drop zone.

A home return can only be seen as a positive for Werder, who have picked up nine of their ten-point haul at the Weserstadion and are yet to play out a league stalemate here (W3, L2). Two of those three victories came against sides who finished in last season’s top-half, so a visit from Eintracht Frankfurt may not evoke too much fear in the hosts, even with their pre-match outsiders tag.

Perhaps the fact that Frankfurt remain unbeaten as league favourites this season will dampen the hosts’ optimism a little, although four of the six games in which they carried such a tag did end level (W2, D4). In fact, Frankfurt have drawn half of their league games this season (W4, D5, L1), which has undoubtedly held them back as they seek to break into the European places.

Travelling to Helsinki on Thursday night won’t have done Frankfurt many favours in terms of their preparation for this, as whilst they are unbeaten in all five games directly following a UEFA Europa Conference League clash this season, four ended level. This could be as good a time as any to buck that trend as Frankfurt have won each of their last three domestic road trips, scoring at least twice and leading at half-time each occasion.

Players to watch: Currently on loan from Frankfurt, Werder’s Rafael Borré could be in line to haunt his parent club after hitting just his second goal of this loan spell last weekend, goals which helped to secure four points. For Frankfurt, Omar Marmoush has scored five goals across his last four domestic appearances, each of which came before the half-hour mark.

Hot stat: Only the top two sides have scored in both halves of Bundesliga games more often than Werder this season (5/10).
