Werder Bremen vs Mainz prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2025-01-30 19:30.
[p]Werder Bremen are now on a four-game winless Bundesliga run (D2, L2) after failing to make the most of Borussia Dortmund having ten men for more than 70 minutes, although the visitors on that occasion did ultimately come from 2-0 down to draw 2-2, keeping them well in the hunt for European qualification. That was the third match already in 2025 in which Ole Werner’s men had conceded first however, while it was the second consecutive encounter in which they had let in the first two goals.[/p]
[p]Sitting ninth mainly due to their stellar away form, the hosts have the joint-fewest home wins in the Bundesliga this season (W2, D4, L3), with both victories coming against sides currently 14th or lower. On a positive note though, Bremen have managed to draw with two top-four teams at the Weserstadion (Leverkusen + Stuttgart), while they also claimed a share of the spoils with Dortmund.[/p]
[p]That should perhaps give Bremen confidence ahead of the visit of sixth-placed Mainz, who were arguably the big winners of the last Bundesliga matchday as one of just two top-six sides who managed to claim victory, reducing the gap to the UEFA Champions League places to one point with a 2-0 triumph over high-flying Stuttgart. That result came after two successive one-goal losses, but things have generally been good recently for Bo Henriksen’s men, who have secured seven wins from their last ten games (W7, L3).[/p]
[p]Those three defeats have all come away from the MEWA ARENA, with Mainz going unbeaten on the road this season until early December. The 05ers may be licking their lips ahead of Friday however, as in no stadium other than their home have they managed to win as often in the Bundesliga as here (seven times), having lost only two of the last ten away H2Hs (W5, D3).[/p]
[p]Players to watch: Marvin Ducksch has scored the opener inside ten minutes in the last three H2Hs, leading Bremen to wins on all those occasions. With two goals, Paul Nebel was instrumental in Mainz’s last away victory – at Eintracht Frankfurt (3-1) – and has netted four of his five Bundesliga goals on his travels. [/p]
[p]Hot stat: Five of the last six league games involving Bremen have featured goals in both halves, as has been the case in six of Mainz’s eight Bundesliga away matches with goals this season.[/p]
