Werder Bremen Wolfsburg prediction 2025-03-01

Werder Bremen vs Wolfsburg prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2025-02-28 14:30.
[p]To say that Werder Bremen had a February to forget would be an understatement as the River Islanders suffered defeats in all four of their competitive outings across the month. After a trio of losses in the Bundesliga saw them slip down to 12th spot ahead of this latest round, Ole Werner’s side were then embarrassed by third tier side Arminia Bielefeld in midweek, as their DFB-Pokal journey was ended at the quarter-final stage.[/p]

[p]A response is needed quickly, but the hosts will need to address their recent defensive woes to find one, as they’ve now conceded 2+ goals in eight of their last nine matches across all competitions. Werder have enjoyed recent H2Hs with Wolfsburg at least, losing just one of their last five meetings in the Bundesliga, including a 4-2 win in the reverse (W2, D2), though their sole loss came in this corresponding fixture last season.[/p]

[p]Unlike Werder, visiting Wolfsburg are proving difficult to beat in recent weeks as a 1-1 draw with Bochum made it five without defeat in the league. The problem for the Wolves is that four of those fixtures ended in stalemate, a return that has halted their advance towards the European spots, but they at least seem well placed to record just a second six-match undefeated streak under manager Ralph Hasenhüttl in the Bundesliga. [/p]

[p]That’s mostly thanks to their fantastic form on the road this campaign, which has seen them claim 20 points to equal their club record at this stage of a season (level with 2018/19). They did lose on the road in midweek though, going down 1-0 to RB Leipzig in the DFB-Pokal quarter-finals, so the away fans will be desperate for their side to not fall into a slump here.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Since joining Werder Bremen, Mitchell Weiser is unbeaten across four H2Hs, recording four goal contributions across his last three such appearances (G1, A3). Each of Tiago Tomás’ six Bundesliga goalscoring appearances this season have come in matches that have averaged five goals in total, including the reverse H2H in which he scored the opener.  [/p]

[p]Hot stat: A league-high 18 of Wolfsburg’s 23 Bundesliga matches this season have seen both teams score.[/p]
