West Brom Blackburn prediction 2023-02-15

West Brom vs Blackburn prediction: ENGLAND: Championship betting tips on match 2023-02-14 20:00.
West Bromwich Albion have lost their way in recent times, as a 2-0 defeat to Birmingham in the West Midlands derby last time out means they’ve now lost three of their last four matches (W1). Two of those losses have come in the Championship, which has resulted in Carlos Corberán’s men sitting outside the playoff spots ahead of a potentially crucial tie with fellow promotion-chasers Blackburn Rovers.

A return to the Hawthorns will be very much welcomed by the Baggies then, who seemingly morph into a different beast in front of their fans, having won their last seven home matches without conceding. That might spell trouble for Blackburn, whom West Brom haven’t lost against in their last four home H2Hs (W2, D2).

Rovers do have bragging rights from the reverse fixture though, running out 2-1 winners on matchday three, and are now hunting their first league double over West Brom since the 2010/11 season. They’ll have to break a four-game winless run (D3, L1) in the Championship for that to occur though, having remarkably drawn their last three league matches after seeing none of their first 27 games of the Championship season end all square!

Manager Jon Dahl Tomasson expressed his pleasure in coming away with a 1-1 draw against Watford last time out, with that result carrying weight here considering Rovers find themselves one point and one place above their hosts heading into this fixture. Maintaining or extending that advantage might be tough considering their away form recently, as Blackburn have only one win from their last seven away league assignments to their name (D2, L4).

Players to watch: Grady Diangana scored for West Brom in the reverse fixture, contributing to five of his last six goals arriving after half-time, while Blackburn’s Bradley Dack got back on track with a goal against Watford last time out, meaning nine of his last 11 goals have served as his side’s opener.

Hot stat: A league-low ten of Blackburn’s 30 Championship games this season have seen both sides score.
