West Ham Ipswich prediction 2024-10-05

West Ham vs Ipswich prediction: ENGLAND: Premier League betting tips on match 2024-10-04 14:00.
[p]For a West Ham side who parted ways with David Moyes in the summer and replaced him with Julen Lopetegui in the dugout, one win from their opening six league games (D2, L3) is a little underwhelming. They’re winless in their last four such games (D2, L2) and a return home won’t necessarily help with ending that run as the Hammers have lost all three of their Premier League home games this season. [/p]

[p]That’s part of a wider run of just one win from their last nine top-flight outings at London Stadium (D4, L4), and with no home league clean sheet since January, it’s easy to see why they’ve struggled. They’ll be bidding to end that run against Ipswich, a side they haven’t met in the top-flight since 2002, but with just one defeat from the last eight Premier League H2Hs (W3, D4), their visit is perhaps a timely one. [/p]

[p]Ipswich travel to East London just a point worse off than the Hammers, with each of their four points collected across their last four games – all of which ended level. No side has drawn five successive games in the Premier League since Fulham in January 2021, but that record could be about to be matched here, as two of the last three West Ham-held H2Hs also ended in stalemate![/p]

[p]Draws have generally been as good as it’s got for Ipswich where the Premier League is concerned, as including the end of their last top-flight stint back in 2001/02, they’ve won just one of their last 19 such games (D7, L11). That record won’t worry boss Kieran McKenna too much, who insists his side are “improving”, and having completed a league double over West Ham the last time this pair shared a league, he’ll hope the first win is just around the corner. [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Tomáš Souček has been on target twice for West Ham this season, with seven of his last eight goals for the club coming after half-time. Ipswich may look to Jack Clarke for some inspiration as 14 of his last 17 club goals have come on the road. [/p]

[p]Hot stat: West Ham have scored exactly once in five of their last six games in all competitions.[/p]
