Wolfsburg B. Monchengladbach prediction 2024-04-07

Wolfsburg vs B. Monchengladbach prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2024-04-06 15:30.
[p]Wolfsburg finally ended their 11-game Bundesliga winless streak (D6, L5) by beating Werder Bremen 2-0 last Saturday, a result that makes their position just above the relegation zone look a lot healthier. Even Maxence Lacroix’s third red card of the season didn’t derail them as new manager Ralph Hasenhüttl started his tenure with three points, although he said they were “a long way from doing what we wanted to do”.[/p]

[p]His next task is to secure a first home league win since late November (D3, L4), and if the Wolves were going to pick an opponent to do that, then Borussia Mönchengladbach might be their choice as they’ve lost only one of the last 18 home H2Hs (W12, D5)! Perhaps scoring first against Augsburg last month (L 3-1) hints at some improvement early in the match, as it ended a run of six home league games in which they conceded the opener.[/p]

[p]Only superior goal difference has Gladbach sitting above Wolfsburg after last weekend’s 3-0 defeat to Freiburg saw them go four matches without a Bundesliga win (D3, L1). Manager Gerardo Seoane has talked up his players’ training pitch response to that hammering, saying he hopes the Foals can “show a different side to ourselves in Wolfsburg”.[/p]

[p]They need to change something as their fruitless search for a league away win stretches back further than Wolfsburg’s wait for one at home, as it has been ten such games since victory (D4, L6). A pair of consecutive 1-1 draws suggests they’ll at least make life hard for their hosts, whilst scoring in four of the last five H2Hs here (W1, D3, L1) should also offer some encouragement as they head east.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Lovro Majer’s last four goals for Wolfsburg all came after the 55th minute, with three of those – including last weekend’s strike against Bremen – also completing the scoring. Franck Honorat netted in November’s reverse fixture with one of three goals for Gladbach this term to also arrive after the 55th minute.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Only once has HasenhĂĽttl lost his opening home game after starting a new managerial job (W2, D2).[/p]
