Wolfsburg Bayern Munich prediction 2022-05-14

Wolfsburg vs Bayern Munich prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2022-05-13 16:30.
Wolfsburg can still finish tenth in the Bundesliga although it’s a tall order as they need to overtake three sides: Borussia Mönchengladbach, Bochum and Eintracht Frankfurt. After topping the table in the early weeks of the season, it’s ultimately been a disappointing campaign for Wolfsburg, but they’re on a three-match unbeaten run (W2, D1) in the league with all seven of their goals scored during that sequence coming before half-time.

Consecutive home league victories ‘to nil’ while scoring 4+ goals should have the fans in expectant mood even though this will be their lowest Bundesliga finish since 2017/18. They’ve not beaten Bayern Munich here since 2015/16 (L7) so they’re up against it, but after breaking a sequence of six consecutive winless trips to Cologne last week, are no strangers to overturning losing streaks.

Champions Bayern appear to have taken their foot off the accelerator since confirming their tenth consecutive title, following up a 3-1 defeat to Mainz with a 2-2 draw with Stuttgart. Yet having put four without reply past Wolfsburg in the reverse fixture and winning the last eight H2Hs, this seemingly presents the ideal chance to cap a record-breaking season with a final-day win.

They’ve also scored in all 16 of their league away games this term (W11, D2, L3) – part of a longer sequence of netting in 80 straight Bundesliga games since drawing a blank against RB Leipzig in February 2020 – but with both teams scoring in three of their last four Bundesliga road fixtures, Bayern haven’t been as defensively secure as they might like in recent weeks.

Players to watch: Max Kruse netted four times across Wolfsburg’s last two home games with all six of his league goals this season for Wolfsburg coming between the 20th and 55th minute, while Serge Gnabry scored before the break in three of Bayern’s last four matches.

Hot stat: Wolfsburg haven’t conceded a first-half goal across five home league games (HT: W4, D1).
