Wolves Everton prediction 2023-05-20

Wolves vs Everton prediction: ENGLAND: Premier League betting tips on match 2023-05-19 14:00.
Wolves could still play a decisive role in the story at both ends of the Premier League (PL) table, with a game against Everton followed by a trip to Arsenal to round off their campaign. Their own safety was confirmed a little while ago, meaning they can play with freedom in search of a fifth-straight home win without conceding – a feat they’ve never previously achieved in the PL.

That would be the ideal way to sign off at Molineux this year, although Wolves have failed to finish on a high in front of their home fans in each of their last two campaigns (D1, L1). On a more positive note, they do boast wins in each of their last three games against Everton, which perhaps makes the Toffees the ideal opponent for them to buck that recent final home game trend.

Despite a 3-0 defeat against Manchester City last time out, Everton could mathematically
secure safety at the end of this round if they win here, and Leeds United and Leicester City lose on Sunday and Monday respectively. Such incentive should prove a huge motivator for a team who have shown plenty of confidence on their travels as of late, avoiding defeat in all but one of their last six away PL outings (W1, D4), bookended by an emphatic 5-1 success at Brighton.

Five has been the prominent number in their final away games of recent campaigns too, with each of their last two finishing 5-1 and 5-0. The Toffees were on the wrong side of the result in those games against Arsenal and Manchester City respectively, extending their record to just one win from their last seven final away games of the season (D1, L5).

Players to watch: Rúben Neves and Daniel Podence lead the scoring charts for Wolves with six goals each, but that does make them the lowest top-scorers for any side in the PL. Having no such scoring troubles of late, Abdoulaye Doucouré has seen all four of his PL goals this season for Everton come across his last four away matches.

Hot stat: Wolves have scored inside the opening 15 minutes in each of their last two home PL matches, but Everton have conceded a league-low twice in this period all season.
