Wolves Nottingham prediction 2023-12-09

Wolves vs Nottingham prediction: ENGLAND: Premier League betting tips on match 2023-12-08 15:00.
[p]A first clean sheet since August was key to Wolverhampton Wanderers beating Burnley 1-0 on Tuesday, as the West Midlanders solidified their mid-table Premier League (PL) position. Neither threatened by relegation nor challenging for a European qualification place, manager Gary O’Neil might sense an opportunity to make progress as they search for back-to-back PL wins for the first time this term.[/p]

[p]It’s now five home league matches unbeaten for Wolves (W3, D2) and with the first four of those against clubs currently in the top half, Molineux is clearly a difficult place for anyone to come. That’s also true for Nottingham Forest, as the hosts have lost only one of the last four H2Hs here (W2, D1) and with the last three seeing only one side score, the first goal could be crucial, especially given Wolves average just 1.33 PL goals per game this term.[/p]

[p]Forest’s average is even worse (1.07) but it’s conceding that appears to be their biggest problem after they were put to the sword by Fulham on Wednesday night, suffering their heaviest defeat of the season (L 5-0). They sit two places above the relegation zone following four consecutive league losses, the latest of which manager Steve Cooper said was “painful in so many ways”.[/p]

[p]The travelling fans are still largely behind the Welshman, loudly singing his name towards the end of that midweek defeat, although owner Evangelos Marinakis was reportedly furious. That support may start to wane if he can’t get something out of this trip as the Tricky Trees have won just one of their last 18 PL away fixtures (D4, L13) so they’d likely accept a repeat of the first ever H2H here in 1892, which was a 2-2 draw.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Six of Hwang Hee-Chan’s eight PL goals this term for Wolves have arrived at Molineux, four of those between the 50th and 75th minute. Anthony Elanga has scored two of Forest’s last three PL away goals, both arriving between half-time and the 65th minute.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Forest have claimed just two points after conceding first in the PL this season (D2, L6).[/p]
